The best part of the camera is that screen is big, bright and customizable. Capable of shooting the video in multiple frames, the touchscreen is very responsive. The settings were very user-friendly. Easy to use for beginners. Light and compact body capable of taking excellent photos. The digital zoom feature in movie mode is excellent. Ergonomics and controls are outstanding.
Cons
Lacks weather sealing feature. The phase-detection autofocus system is not very good. The autofocus system sometimes a problem. 4K video recording is missing. The low light performance is not the best. The battery life is not very impressive. Wi-Fi feature is not available.
Our Take
The Canon Rebel T5i is a great starter camera for video makers. Very easy to use and the added feature of the touchscreen really is a great tool in regards to learning the settings. The is a very good DSLR in the price range considering the set of features.
